October 14, 2014 – Delhi, India
IC-IMPACTS welcomed a new partnership today with GMR Institute of Technology (GMRIT) to accelerate research collaborations between Canada and India. IC-IMPACTS and GMRIT both share a clear vision of advancing research and innovation through industry and community-based collaborations. This partnership was formally agreed upon in Delhi, India, where IC-IMPACTS CEO Nemy Banthia and GMRIT Director of Education Dr. B.S. Nagendra Prashar signed a partnership agreement in the presence of BC Premier Christy Clark.
Long-lasting infrastructure and access to safe water are significant issues in communities of both Canada and India. As innovative leaders in infrastructure and water, IC-IMPACTS and GMRIT will use this partnership to explore collaborations in sustainable infrastructure, construction design, wastewater reclamation and other areas.
By collaborating in areas of clear need by both nations, this new partnership will hopefully lead to practical research outcomes that can be applied to communities in need, strengthening innovative collaborations between Canada and India.
