Dr. Nemy Banthia Invited to Join the Forum for Global Leadership of India

Dr. Nemy Banthia has been invited to join the Forum for Global Leadership of India, a group of international experts that will serve as advisory to the Indian government and leadership.

The Forum for Global Leadership of India is made up of experts that are focused on the growth and the development of India as a global leader. The Forum is positioned to advise the newly elected government on development strategy, policy, knowledge and technology from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and business leaders living outside of India.

By bringing together experts outside of India who are pioneers in their field of work, the Forum aims to add a new dimension to the knowledge base of experts in India that will support, empower, and impact India and its future development across multiple industries.  The Forum has focused on nineteen different areas of development, from energy infrastructure and education, to manufacturing and cyber security.

As an international leader and and one of the most-cited experts in infrastructure, Dr. Banthia will be able to advise the new Indian government and leadership on the future potential of investing and developing India’s physical infrastructure (including roads, bridges, and ports), as well as India’s knowledge infrastructure (creating a highly skilled workforce through training and education).

The other members of the Forum represent a broad range of industrial, academic and government organizations including Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of California –Berkeley,  Massachusetts General Hospital, UNESCO, Lee Kuan Yew School for Public Policy, Singapore, Indian Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Lokheed Corporation, United States Department of Energy (DOE), IIM-Bangalore, Caltech, Canadian Centre for Climate Modelling and Analysis, etc.
