COVID-19 Resources for International Students

IC-IMPACTS is aware of a large number of Indian and otherwise international students in Canadian universities who have been negatively impacted by COVID-19. In an effort assist students struggling while away from home, the IC-IMPACTS Student Engagement Committee (SEC) has curated the list of resources below.

• Please contact the International Students Office of your university/college to get up-to-date information regarding spring term exams and your university policies during the COVID-19 pandemic.
• Avoid unnecessary travel, even in the vicinity of your stay and maintain social distancing in public areas.
• Study permit / VISA extension.
• Website of the Indian High Commission, Ottawa.
• All Indian students studying in Canada are requested to register on the MADAD portal immediately.
• Eligibility criteria and application procedure regarding the Canadian government’s CERB benefit.
