About the Conference

In light of recent events surrounding COVID-19, IC-IMPACTS will host the 2020 Annual Research Conference online this year.

IC-IMPACTS acknowledges the need to foster a degree of “social distancing” as recommended by public health authorities. To protect vulnerable individuals and to ensure that our health care system will not become overburdened, the conference will be hosted online.

We aim to bring together researchers working on IC-IMPACTS projects who help drive innovation across Canada, India, and the world. The online event will feature highlights from IC-IMPACTS research projects across Canada and India and intersections from the Centre’s three core themes: Safe and Sustainable Infrastructure, Integrated Water Management, and Public Health. The conference will spotlight new technologies, demonstration projects and approaches aiding in the growing demand for smart and clean economies. There will also be an opportunity for participants to discuss the shared goals of Canada and India’s innovation and commercialization agendas.

3MT is an academic competition created to assist students with fostering effective presentation and communication skills. Participants will only have three minutes to explain the breadth and significance of their research project to the audience.

If you are an IC-IMPACTS HQP and would like to enter the competition, please e-mail Ms. Ferya Moayedi with your name and IC-IMPACTS project title. Then download IC-IMPACTS 3MT PowerPoint Slide and follow the instructions to prepare the slide for your presentation, then please submit your slide by email before July 31, 2020.
