A mobile water treatment system created from an IC-IMPACTS project has been nominated as a finalist in the Drinking Water category of Water Next’s 2016 National Awards.
Dr. Madjid Mohseni, an IC-IMPACTS funded researcher, worked with Lytton First Nation, along with industry and government partners, to develop a novel water treatment system and deliver clean water to the community.
BI Pure Water, an industry partner on the project worked with Dr. Madjid Mohseni to help build the mobile water treatment system used in a pilot demonstration of the technologies. BI Pure Water has been building water treatment systems for twenty years and specialize in specializes in containerized and mobile water treatment plants designed to specific water analyses and budget.
The Water’s Next national awards program honours the achievements and ideas of individuals and companies that successfully work to change water in Canada. The 2016 awards will showcase forty-five finalists across nine different award categories.
The award will be announced on Thursday, June 23, 2016.
