Prabha Daga
Prabha Daga serves as the India Coordinator for IC-IMPACTS, where she plays a pivotal role in driving the organization’s operations and collaborations across India. With a solid background in STEM, Prabha brings a deep understanding of how science and technology innovations can transform communities. Her ability to foster long-term partnerships has been central to the success of IC-IMPACTS programs in India.
An accomplished management professional, Prabha has over a decade of experience in retail and distribution, having managed operations for prominent electrical appliance brands such as LG, Samsung, Electrolux, National, and Philips. Her expertise spans customer relations, team leadership, and strategic operations. In addition to her work in consumer electronics, she has also overseen the distribution of auto spare parts and fast-moving consumer goods, demonstrating remarkable versatility and a sharp eye for operational efficiency and problem-solving.
At IC-IMPACTS, Prabha has successfully organized numerous high-impact workshops and conferences, engaging up to 300 participants from academia, industry, and government. She has nurtured strong relationships with Indian government agencies—including the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and the Department of Biotechnology (DBT)—at municipal, state, and national levels. Her efforts have been instrumental in building collaborative programs between Canadian and Indian institutions and securing meaningful industry partnerships.
One of Prabha’s key strengths lies in mentoring young postgraduate students involved in Canada-India collaborative research, guiding them with a combination of warmth and quiet determination. Known for her composed demeanor and resolute approach, Prabha is a dedicated problem-solver and a valued asset to the IC-IMPACTS team.
