Food security isn’t just about producing enough — it’s also about knowing where food comes from and ensuring it reaches those who need it. At UBC Okanagan, Associate Professor Dr. Eric Li is collaborating with partners in Canada and India to create a blockchain-powered and physical internet-enabled traceability system for food supply chains. This cutting-edge platform will track food from farm to fork, reduce waste, and improve distribution efficiency, particularly in rural and underserved areas.
