Ms. Jillian Stirk
Former Ambassador to Norway and former Chief Foreign Policy Officer at DFAIT
Jillian Stirk was a former Ambassador and Assistant Deputy Minister responsible for Strategic Policy, Global Issues and European Affairs at Global Affairs Canada. Her postings abroad included Poland, the United Nations Office in Vienna, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and Norway, where she served as Canada’s Ambassador. She is an Associate with the Simon Fraser Centre for Dialogue and a Mentor with the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation. She sits on a number of Boards and volunteers with several community organizations. Ms. Stirk is a consultant and a frequent commentator on foreign policy and diversity issues.
