Manager of Training Programs
Helena brings to IC-IMPACTS extensive expertise in program design and implementation, facilitation, skills training, and professional development. She is passionate about establishing innovative and effective learning opportunities for a diversity of learners. Helena is particularly effective in developing and managing educational programs in both virtual and face-to-face contexts; in implementing innovative strategic education and training initiatives; and in project management. She also has instructional design experience.
Helena’s work experience includes a decade with the Commonwealth of Learning (an international, inter-governmental education agency), with provincial-level trades training, and cross-cultural training as an independent consultant. She enjoys working with project teams that value collaborative cross-functional relationships. She leads change initiatives in manners that ensure acceptance and support from team members and stakeholders, often having divergent perspectives. Helena received a MA (Education) from Simon Fraser University; and a post-graduate diploma from Capilano University’s Asia-Pacific Management Co-op Program.
